What are you using to determine those temps? It doesn't make sense to me that under the tunnel is cooler than on top of it... especially when using a UTH.

    105????

More like you need to bump the UTH down.

Are you using uth and a light?

Half logs are typically not considered a good hide. You would be surprised at what they can fit into, and the prefer a tight fit.

Sounds like you have a basking or other light over the hide? 105 is too high for sure...

    1) What are you using to measure temps?
    2) What area your cool side and hot side temps (top of substrate / below substrate). Belly heat is what BPs like and need. Hot side - 90-93 / Cool Side 80 - 83. I measure at the bottom of substrate as our BP likes to move it around a bit.
    3) What is the ambient temperatures? Measure half way up the enclosure... should be in the high 70s / low 80s (preferred)

am i the only one who hears that the uth is not under but over? the uth should be under the hide since snakes get their warmth from their belly primarily. definitly lose the light since it's too hot. if i misunderstood the placement of the uth, maybe you have a substrate issue.
i use plastic pots from home depot. i cut an entrance and use one on each side. they way they don't have to choose between f\safety and comfort.
