    Compatible Axanthic lines?
Just wondering if any of the VPI, TSK or the Jolliff line Axanthics are compatible?

I don't think any of those three are compatible with each other. The original test of VPI to TSK was done with a het VPI that had passed through several hands and I'm not sure if anyone has yet breed homozygous X homozygous but in all likelihood they are not compatible. I've not heard the details of the VPI to Jolliff test but I've seen possible double hets so believe it's been done. Not so sure about TSK X Jolliff.

I think there are a couple of newer lines who's names I can never remember and at least one of those lines turned out to be compatible with one of the original three.

Also, VPI has a new line that looks a little different (very dark) and interestingly sounds like they might be genetically a good bit smaller than normal as well.

I believe Greg Graziani and Micheal Cole are doing homozygous SK axanthic to homozygous VPI axanthic this year. When I spoke with them at tinley they were pretty adamant that they thought they would prove compatible. So I hope we'll find out soon enough :)

D & M Breeders Axanthics are compatible with TSK if I remember correctly and then NERDs Axanthics are compatible with VPI.

    Hope that helps :)

My wife and I were actually planning to run the same test with the snake we bought from you (SK Axanthic). The Snake Keeper and VPI Lines seem entirely indistinguishable visually, and I haven't seen clear documentation regarding the test that was done suggesting they were incompatible. Any test that did not involve two homogeneous Axanthics that were 100% known to be from the separate lines would be inconclusive though.

I will be very interested to hear the results from the Graziani test that you described. I just hope they will openly publish their results regardless of what happens. If they are shown to be identical, it should allow some valuable genetic diversity to be introduced into both lines.
