    Urubamba, Peru
So my girlfriend is doing a 5 month internship at a hospital in Urubamba, Peru. Interestingly, Urubamba translates as "Flat land of spiders" in Quechua.. which doesn't make much sense since it is in the mountains and pretty much the opposite of flat.

Anyone been to peru? I was thinking of looking up some info for her, just some advice about the wilderness and wildlife in that area of the world. This will be her first time in Peru, 2nd time in South America(last time was Ecuador). I'm totally hoping she'll get some good pics of interesting reptiles with her new Nikon D80 digital SLR.. I'll be so excited if she gets to photograph a big Peruvian BCC in the wild. Anyone want to add things to her list of wildlife/plants/geological features to photograph? In addition she also wants to make a trip to Machu Picchu, if there's other cool fauna or flora she should keep an eye out for.

P.S. I might be visiting for a week or two while she is there too, so that could be an adventure!
