    i checked out my cage today to find a full one piece shed, from the eyes to the tail! and also a human sized turd:O haha

    i dont know why but it makes me so happy.:D

    should you replace the substrate every time they shed?

    You dont have too, i replace substrate (paper towels) when they are soiled or seem stale. I assume you use aspen or cypress mulch as bedding, in this case you could spot clean, but the bedding is still soiled because it soaks up the urine that comes out with urates, and after a bm i like to dissenfect the tub/cage so paper towels makes that easier for me. Anyway sorry for ranting on loose substrate on your thread buddy, if it seems stale or old replace it or obviously if s/he managed to track poop all over the place replace it.
