    The store was out of hoppers so they gave me rat pinkies. The BP's didn't do a good job of squeezing and they both ate the still squealing pinkies.

    Is that normal?

    yup, it will happen.

    After a move many many years ago, I had a hard time finding pet stores that carried feeders for snakes, and the only place I could find only had pinky mice, which my corn snake had outgrown not that long ago, but since that was what was available, I bought a couple and fed them live(in retrospect should have fed p/k if I had known the snake would just eat them without fully constricting, but I was 8 and didn't think about that possibility). The snake snorted down 2 of them, and you could still hear them squeeling inside the snake.. it made me sad :(

    Being digested to death has to be one of the worst ways to go. Hopefully they suffocate before it beings to happens...
