    Fed Ex certification headaches
So I'm in the process of attempting to get certified with FedEx, and it's REALLY turning into a head ache. I called 1-800-GO-FEDEX, stumbled my way through their menus until I got to a live person, and asked for the contact info for my account rep. She gives me a name and number, so I call the guy. Tell him what the deal is and he starts laughing and says he's never even heard of being certified to ship reptiles, but he'll look into it for me and call me back. A week goes by without hearing from him, so I call and get his voicemail. Leave him a message and the next day I get a call from some lady with FedEx who informs me that my rep only deals with people who spend $45k+ a year! Oh, and SHE only deals with people who spend $10k+ a year. But to help me out she'll call the FedEx marketing department and have someone call me to sort it out. Still waiting for that particular call...

So anyone have any pointers on how to get the ball rolling on this? At this point I'm not entirely happy with the customer service I've dealt with at FedEx. :cens0r:

You have to find a new rep then. AND call the live animal desk.

Saundra Cherry is my rep and she is fabulous. I have been fed ex certified for at least a year and I have only recently started shipping. She is so nice and my account is set up perfectly. I just shipped a package yesterday and I drove all the way out to their manned hub in daytona before I realized I forgot to bring the hard copy of my wavier. I have heard all kinds of horror stories about people needing to show the hard copy because of the account not being set up correctly. I had no problem at all it was easy. If I were you I would shoot her an email and if she is in she will answer it.

Thanks for the contact info, I might just have to shoot her an email. I was under the impression that your rep was local to you based on the fact that the operator I talked to asked for my zip code and set me up with a local guy... who apparently wants nothing to do with me. :8:

    Avoid the hassles.

    Use shipyourreptiles.

This post is from last year, ShipYourReptiles wasn't an option at the time. ;) I did finally get everything straightened out after switching FedEx reps a couple of times.
