    Rescource for Alligator Owners
So a baby alligator has seemed to have found its way into my possession. I've always wanted one, and when i a friend could not keep it because of their land lord i volunteered to take it. I understand this is a HUGE undertaking with a lot of responsibilities on my part. All that aside, I wanted of know if anyone out there is aware of any resources for owners of alligators similar to this site. I've done a lot of research but i haven't been able to find any sites nearly as good as ball-pythons.net. Are their any alligator enthusiasts forums out there? Thanks!

I used to have an Alligator quite a few years back.I really liked her her name was precious:rolleyes::D
I only kept her till she attained about 4 feet the my boss bought her from me.It was kind of dumb for me to get her but I was only 19 or 20 and it seemed like a great Idea @ the time.Looking back on it I really didnt have the resources to care for such an animal.I could give you a little first hand advice but thats about it.Handle your gator from a young age and attemp to train it on a nutritionally sound non live diet such fish pellets. This will reduce the gator live feeding response and help you aquire a docile gator. As for care I'm sure if you looked for care sheets online you would be able to find one for a Specticled Caimen since they have essentially the same care I would use that sheet as a refrence.Care in pretty easy Keep you gator well fed, clean water, basking spot, use caution and good judgment and you should have a great pet for many years to come:salute:

I just want to say good luck! I've always wanted a gator, doubt I'll ever have the time and resources for one though.

I'm a little partial to gators, growing up mostly in texas and louisiana :D

Your location said "Massachusetts" when you posted the first time.

    Mods, can you check that?
