Parasites?????

i have a WC black rat i got as a very very young baby. It has been eating fine its feces look OK. He look as though he has lost a little weight. In theyear I have had him he has not exhibited any symptoms. Does anyone know about parasites and how to get rid of em and do ya think he has em????

Eyeballing his poop isn't going to confirm that he's clear of internal parasites.

I would strongly recommend that any wild caught snakes that you plan on keeping be treated prophylactically for internal parasites.

Do the snake a favor, get your friend at Luray to recommend a vet that can treat him for potential parasites. Also save up a bit and invest in a scale.
