Help, feeding problem?

I'm feeding my bp a f/t mouse. I thawed it out in a cup of warm water, still inside of a bag, like I always do. I put it in the tub with him, and when he struck at the mouse, it busted. This has never happened before, I didn't know what to do. He's already started eating, do I need to get him another mouse. Could it hurt him?

That sometimes happens with mice, and is not a big deal. It all goes to the same place anyway. I wouldn't worry about it hurting him. It's just more of a mess to clean up afterward.

If it helps this mainly happens to me if the water is too warm and actually "cooks" the mouse a bit. :weirdface

I have that happen to me from time to time. I get the water to hot and pop and god it stinks. Mine happens in the baggy before i feed it. Than have to grap another mouse and start over.:O

I would recommend thawing them overnight and heating them with a blowdryer
Luckily I've never had them explode on me but sometimes they split in half for whatever reason so I've switched to just leaving them overnight - which helps pre-scent the room in the process
