BP won't eat
I have a young juvenile male BP. He refused to eat last night. I am feeding him live. The mouse that I was going to feed him was extremely active, could this somehow have an effect on why my snake wouldn't eat? My temps in the twenty gallon tank are 80 on the cool side and 90 on the warm side. Humidity is at 50 %. Thanks in advance for your replies. I probably should not handle him for a while either. It has been a week since his last ate.

Re: BP won't eat
I would guess (note guess) that a very active mouse could have some sort of effect on it. However just because your snake skips one feeding you shouldn't be worried. They do that sometimes, and sometimes they wont eat for months. It's all good until they start to lose weight, that's when you need to start do things different. Until then, just keep offering on your regular feeding schedule.

Re: BP won't eat
Try to feed the BP at different tank or perhaps you can prepare a small feeding tank. Eventually he will know in which tank are the time for a dinner and yet he will not accidentally bite you while you put your hand in the living tank. Hope this help ~

Not true
Feed him in his tank, there is no need to take him out and move him around. This just causes more stress and that could be the reason he isn't eating, he's stressed out.

Re: BP won't eat
A few of my snakes skip meals on occasion. My male pastel has his own feeding schedule almost. He only really eats once every two weeks. If yours has only skipped one meal I wouldn't worry. He could be getting ready to shed or he's still feeling full from last weeks meal. I wouldn't worry until he starts to lose weight.

Re: BP won't eat
You could also raise the temps on the warm side as this will help to increase the rate of digestion thus promoting feeding :)
As for the feeding bin idea, please listen to what TMoore has posted :gj:

Re: BP won't eat
Leave the setup alone.
Leave the snake alone, feeding wise, for a week.
Try again next week.
