    Pied
I'm talking to someone who wants to sell a 5 month old male pied for $1500. Sounds kinda high to me, I'd like some opinions thanks.

Pieds are generally priced according to the amount of white. That is not a high price at all. I remember not too long ago they were many thousands of $

All of the offspring would be het for Pied (normal looking but they have the gene for piebald) and in addition each egg would have a 50% chance of producing Pinstripes.

So in an ideal world you would get 50% normal looking het pieds and 50% pinstripe het pieds.

1500 is a good price, most start there and go up in price.

That's a decent price for a well started one. They can be found cheaper if your willing to look and are not afraid to make people an offer, but $1500 is definitely not out of line.

I wish they'd be that cheap over here in Germany... with the current exchange rates '08 pieds are $3000.
