Well it is official, my favorite/largest female is a male :tears: So was one of my other breeder sized "females". Goes to show you, even the most trustworthy breeders out there make mistakes. Always double, triple and quadruple check. My first breeding season has seriously taken a hit. I am male heavy as it is. One I am trading for a female but my favorite stays- he was a dinker project all along and just has the most awesome personality. I may have record for largest male BP by the time he is finished growing.
Off to cry in a corner now :weirdface
On a good note though, my pastel is hooked up again with one of my girls.

Nahh, I should have probed them as soon as I got them home. I have had them both well over a year. One probes shallow and I had 2 others tell me he was a she. Explains the combating behavior I had a couple weeks ago.
Mistakes happen and since I am just finding out now, there is no reason to go to the sellers. One I won't deal with again and it is not worth the hassle, the other is a really good guy. Chalk it up to a learning experience. If nothing else, it has pushed me to learn how to probe.
