Wordpress.org ??????

Okay, browsing around I've come across a few herp related sites that are powered by wordpress.org. I checked out the site, but for some reason I'm not quite understanding what it is all about. Could somebody explain it to me in simple terms (I have a kid fried brain so be kind with me please). thank you very much.

Word press is an open source php/css power forum/website/BLOG tool. Its faily easy to setup and get running. My BLOG uses wordpress.

WordPress.org is a place for you to go and download the software (free) and install it on your own web site - yoursite.com/blog

Its very easy to setup, if you want to start your own blog just buy a domain and get hosting and install wordpress. That simple!

I started (back in the day) working on a worpress site. It's nice a simple, but to be honest .. it wasn't for me. I like the finished look, but I hate that backend.

I've used word press before in the past too, like cuda it wasn't my thing.

My site is powered by Wordpress and a lot of plugins. I like it a lot. Very easy to update, manage, and customize.

Wordpress 2.7 just came out yesterday and I did my upgrade last night ... It's awesome and leaps and bounds beyond the older versions.

I highly recommend it!
