Where to buy cypress mulch ?
Where's a good place to buy Cypress mulch ? Would the big Pet Stores have it ?
Also is it recomended to switch from aspen to cypress in the winter to help humidity , then back to aspen in the summer when humidity is not a problem ?
Thanks

Re: Where to buy cypress mulch ?
If you haven't got any stashed away you're probably out of luck. Around here it's a seasonal product and they quit selling it by the end of summer and won't be getting more until next spring. Your best bet is to try nursery's or landscapers to see if they have any left overs.

Pet stores will sell teeny tiny bags called Jungle earth or something like that. It's cypress, but will cost you an arm and a leg if you have quite a few snakes.
If you do have only a couple of snakes, try out some aspen mixed with coconut fiber. It holds humidity very well.
Re: Where to buy cypress mulch ?
We buy our cypress from Ace Hardware for $3.89 for 2 cubic foot bags.
It is not the best as far as the milling but it works and they have it year round, we buy 20 bags every 3-4 weeks and just have to them special order it the week before.
Other than them a few companies sell larger bags via pet stores I belive keepers choice sells it for $20 a bag.

You can find it for sale in the Kingsnake.com marketplace under bedding/supplies.
