    Probe placement/ night drop
I have the probe to my dbs-1000 placed directly on the heat tape and have it set at 90, the thermometer i have inside of one of my tanks says hot is 85 and cool side is 75, should i place the probe inside of the tank? Also, i just set up my night drop (i know, im starting late), I have a few questions, does the dbs let it drop to room temp until the morning, and then bring it back up to the set temp during the day, or does it regulate the temp at night also? Thanks in advance.

I have a Herpstat but I assume they are similar. If you want it to be warmer in your tank just set the temp higher on the Herpstat. It won't match the thermometer but as long as the temp is right in the tank then that shouldnt matter. I think on the herpstat it actually has a thing where I can set it so the temps match so it accounts for the inefficiency of the enclosure. The night drop should have a temp that you can set the night drop to and how long you want it to be. Check out the owners manual.

Alright thanks, I think im going to put it inside the tank, because then I know it will be the temperature that I set it, instead of messing with the heat tape temp until I get my tank temp right.
