    liberty dime found in change
my mom got a 1943 mercury dime in her change someplace this past weekend.

its not worth alot but its worth alot more than a dime. these coins are getting rare with some years worth several thousand dollars.

Depends. Circulated coins, are not worth as much. And the year, and Where it was made too.

I have a few odds and ends laying about coinwise,Its a fun hobby :)

I actually have a relatively extensive coin collection. I used to collect coins and inherited my fathers coin collection. Back when he collected many coins were much easier to find than they are now. I have one coin dating back to the 1790's. It's a really cool hobby that not only provides hours of entertainment but can also help people learn about history.

Cool find. I have a collection of silver quarters that I've found in my change over the last few years. I probably have 8-10 of them. I've found a few mercury dimes and a couple of buffalo nickels.....believe it or not.

I wouldn't say I'm a coin collector, but I do like to find neat coins. I have a few Canadian coins, some euros (given to me by a customer who didn't want them anymore!), but as far as old coins, the oldest one I have is a penny from 1962, not very old. Haha. Though I do have a dollar dating back to 1959.

Collecting Old curacy and odd money is a small hobby I have. I got started because I use to work at a bank and you see all kinds of stuff come in that people get rid of. I have a pristine Steel penny with 0 rust, I was lucky enough to get 3 rolls of Mercury dimes from the Fed one time.

But the paper money is my real hobby. I have a 10 dollar bill from the Confederate State of South Carolina that is printed on unused war bonds. $5.00 bills from most of the Federal Reserves including the New Orleans and Mississippi branch.

I think My pride and joy though is a 1774 five pound six pence note. Printed by the Franklin and Hall printing company and signed by three of the signers of the Deceleration of Independence. The Franklin and Hall company three years later became the Hall and Bell company. Why you ask.

Because Ben Franklin of the Franklin and Hall printing company was busy setting up a nation. :D
