    Could an Aquarium be fit to store Reptiles?

    Well, first off I would not 'store' reptiles...I would house them. :D

    And yes, glass tanks can be made into perfectly working enclosures with a little work. It doesn't work for everyone, and some snakes just don't take well to them, but for me tanks work better than tubs.

    Thanks, i use a vivarium currently, but i noticed fish aquariums were a lot cheaper and didn't know what the big difference was.

    The main difference between reptile vivs and fish tanks, other than a higher price, is that fish tanks are often heavier and more solid being made to hold hundreds of pounds of water. :) Also, many reptile tanks these days are made with 'slide-n-lock' screen tops which are more secure, and some are now being made of acrylic.

    But a normal fish aquarium will do the job just as well as long as you insulate the back and sides and foil or plastic treat the screen top. :)

    How do you insulate the back and sides? Like, what kind of material and such?
