    To ealy?
my female ball python is 1250-1300 grams at 14 months old, would you breed her? iv had hear near a male before and she started wagging her tail, does this mean anything ? do you think she is realy to breed?

I would not advise breeding her at all. For one she needs to be atleast two to three years old and secondly she needs to be atleast 1500g. With all that said i would give her another half a year to a year to more fully develop. If bred to early she could eggbind and end up dying from it.

Not so worried about age but get her closer to 1500g and above, I have 3 07 females breeding right now that are over 1500g

If they are too young, they wont breed, like Jeremy said, weight is more important

Wow, if she's that size at 18 months she's gonna be a monster when she's done growing! I've got one girl just like that, she's not even a year old and she's already almost 800g. I get the feeling she's gonna be a big one :D.

But yeah you should definitely give her some more time before you try breeding her. With a snake like that that's growing that quickly I'd say wait til she's 1750-2000g. Shouldn't take long!
    Good luck

I've had 1200 g females lay eggs just fine. It's really up to you, but most folks say 1500 grams minimum. I think it has more to do with size than age. If the female is not mature, she wouldn't ovulate, but size is another matter. Maybe give her a bit more time, til she gets up to 1500grams.
I recieved some ball python females that had just laid, and they were under 1000 grams each. That's SMALL!!!!
