Moving snake question

We are moving this weekend, and I need some advice about moving the snake.

Our plan is to move him Friday evening and set him up in a nice quiet corner to cut down on his stress during the move on Saturday morning.

My question is this: Today is his usual feeding day, but I don’t want to feed him tonight and risk a regurg situation because of the move tomorrow. Should we try to feed him Saturday or Sunday, or just wait until next Thursday to give him a week to acclimate and settle down in his new corner of the world?

He’s generally a hardy little guy, and will eat anything under almost any circumstances, but he’s been a little testy the last couple of days (do they sense change like cats and dogs?) and I don’t want to stress him too much.

Any thoughts from you guys would be much appreciated!

I would definitely wait to feed him. Going an extra week between feeding will not hurt him at all and will make sure that you don't wind up with a regurge due to all the moving around.

agreed. I went out of town last week for thanksgiving and had to bring my snake with me (didn't want to leave him in an empty appt alone for that long, just too many bad things could happen). He missed a feeding but after being back in his home for 2 or 3 days I offered and he ate no probs.

I agree with the above posters. I just moved last weekend, and Friday night, when we were technically not supposed to go to the new house lol, I moved all my snakes into my snake room and set them up, made sure their temps were correct, yadda yadda. Since it was Friday, that was their feeding night and they're all used to it, but I waited to feed them until Monday. I was going to wait until Friday, because I'd fed them bigger than usual meals the week before, so they could skip. Buut, they were all really active like, "wheres mai FOOOODZ" so I fed them :D Just wait a few days after you move him, I put everyone in little sterilite tubs with some of their substrate from the warm side so they'd have a little warmth, and because I was paranoid of the glass breaking somehow. If he seems to be his normal self after a few days, go ahead and offer him food, or just wait until the next scheduled day. Oh, and he might be a little testy because of all the moving about you guys are doing packing up the place. All your movements and bangings and whatever might be bugging him.
