Freedom: Thank You to Our Soldiers

Marching forth with head held high
You watch my heart, my soul, my life
Guarding my world, my hope, my future
God can’t begin to know how much I honor
The promise You made when You put on those boots
The gift You offer with each step in the sand
No thought of showers or simple comforts
You strut through the world so that I can have mine
Rifle over Your shoulder and camouflage clad
You are my friend, my protector, and respected Man
My Dear Friend, promise me this:
If You leave us, Your family and Your friends,
I beg that You did all that You could
To keep Your memory to this world alive
Because You, Sir, Sergeant, General, Grunt of my life,
Are the Man and Woman who I honor and truly
Without a doubt
Love.
For You will sacrifice Your home, Your family, and Your bed
So that I might enjoy my life in freedom

I have a close friend who's in the Army who just shipped out.

Thank You!! My oldest son will be going to boot-camp Jan. 15th. Although I am very proud of him :salute:. It still makes me very sad.:tears:
