    non toxic material suggestions
I want to build a rock wall to encompass my glass tank. I cant keep a decent ambient temperature. I have watched videos and get the basic idea of what to do. You can youtube "reptile rock wall" and see some cool vids. The reason for my post is i keep hearing people say to use non toxic materials. I have asked for non-toxic stuff at Home Depot and at Lowes, i think the people who work there are retarded. One guy actually said "All this stuff is toxic if you eat it." What a moron! So, have any of you done this or do you know specific brands of products that would be safe for balls? below are the basic materials i will need.

    non-sanded grout
    grout sealer
    cement dye
    liquid nails
misc pieces of styrofoam that i will wash before i begin

Off topic but got to be said-----------most "retarded" people are smarter than that. That derogatory term is my biggest pet peeve. :rage:

That said, good luck in your rock wall construction. Since balls won't eat things like that my first thought is odor. If an odor lingers then I wouldn't use it. Most grout etc will say safe for food items or something similar. I would look for that type of warnings.

dendroboard is like this forum but for dart frogs, and those folks are constantly building their own rock walls for their terrariums. If it's safe for amphibians, it's safe for reptiles: go check out their DIY threads for some really good info on materials.
