striking

last night i walked past my pythons tank and he struck the glass as i walked by. he is only about a year or a year and a half old and he is going through the process of shedding. why would he do that?

He's scared, half blind, and a big hot thing walks by his house. You triggered the
"HOLY CRAP A HUGE FREAKING PREDATOR" response. It happens.

Yikes! Yea, the shed is probably it...
But, just want to share my experience a few weeks ago. I've had humidity problems and my bp was mad at me (I did a really stupid thing of giving her a bath...saw a video of it in YouTube... I should tell you about that time...maybe in a separate post). Ooohhh she was major pissed! When I pass by her tank she goes on strike mode! She's in my office, so I had to work in the kitchen for a few days until she finally calmed down... She got a bit of an attitude until I finally got the humidity stabilized. She would go S pose when we open the tank (had to change substrates, mist, feed, etc), but when we pick her up, she never did strike... All bluster, I guess. She's happy now.
