is this a bad way to clean
Hi, I noticed a fiew dead mites in my snakes tank... Im goig to remove the substrate, clean the snake and the tank with a reptile spray that kills mites but I was wondering.. for the hides, water bowl and branches.. is it okay if If put them in water mixed with bleach and after rinse them very well and wait until it dries or will the snakes be affected by this?

Provent-A-Mite or PAM for short is the best mite treatment you can get. If thats not what you are using keep it in mind in the event your current product doesn't work.

Your water bowls and other husbandry equipment should be ok in a 10% bleach solution as long as you rinse out very well. If you can smell the water bowl after it dries and not smell any bleach the you should be ok.

that's what I do, as long as its 1 part bleach, 10 parts water and you rinse VERY well, it should be fine. There are other products out there that are supposedly better, but I've never personally used them
