    Noticed Somehting Odd.
Lately I have noticed that the scales on my BP's belly seem to be alot more prone to uplift when anything runs against them the wrong way. I mean certainly they are expected to do this to some extent, it just seems to be more common as he is getting older.

As for changes to feeding and enviroment, everythig seems pretty normal, he went off feeding for about 40 days but then ate last wednesday, everythig in his tank is good. He is getting a pink belly right now, but I noticed this much before that.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced anything liek this.

    Is your snake overweight?

No, I dont belive so. I have had him for about a year, with no idea how old he is, i would peg him at maybe 3 but give or take a year or two. They guy told me he was one when I bought him but some guy at a petstore said he looked older.

I don't have a scale, but I have seen bloated and overweight pythons, and in my opinion, he looks more skinny then fat.

Their scales normally get rather raised as they grow, especially right before a shed. I wouldn't be too worried unless the snake is losing a great amount of weight or is dehydrated (which would also mean very saggy skin).

Hey, the same thing has been happening with mine. I don't think it's anything serious, mostly happens when the snake is moving. IMO, with the experience with mine, I think it's just if you catch the scales on the belly at the wrong time like if the snake is moving or something.. Unless the scales are actually raised up I wouldn't really be worried.. But again, just my opinion.
