If its an aquarium you can try to cover some of the screen top with foil. Do you use a uth or a heat lamp? Heat lamps will kill the humidity.

There are several tricks: changing substrate to a cyprus blend will help. Also putting damp sphagnum moss in the tank will help. Covering 2/3 of the top of the tank with plexiglass or pressnseal or foil will help.
What are you using to measure the humidity levels right now? Also, what are your heat sources?

Could try a bigger water dish....along with some of the suggestions above should do the trick.

Cover most of the tank.
Have a couple inches of cypress bedding.
Use a spray bottle and mist a couple times a day.
Pour a little water in the bedding to keep it slightly moist on the bottom.
If undertank heating is needed clear a spot in a corner where the hide is and use about a quarter inch of bedding.
If a heat lamp is required pour a little water into the bedding every few days.
If the top of the tank is at least half covered you should be fine.
If its a screne cage wrap it in plastic till you can get a glass one.
hey dude, i had to same problem with my ball pythons. ,My advice (if ur using a heat lamp on a screen top aquarium) is cover the side that DOESNT have the heat lamp on top with duct tape. and just spray the tank down a few times a week. If ur using a under tank heater, then do like most of these guys tell you and change the bedding. hope that helps ya bro.

Hey Matt, I don't know how handy you are, but I have great results with humidity in tanks by cutting a piece of plexiglass to fit exactly into the top of the tank (ie cover the whole thing airtight), then drill holes in the cool side and the warm side. This pretty much turns a tank into a tub. I have several different plexiglass tops with a varing amount of holes drilled in each one. That way I can change the humidity of any given tank just by changing its top (more holes = less humidity). Works GREAT!!!
