    Average Weight At Hatching?
I'm not breeder, and don't really plan to get into it, but my son was asking me how much an average BP weighs when they come out of the egg. Do you guys weigh them right after they hatch?

I think between around 50-80 grams is about a good average though I have hatched a few that were lighter and a few heavier.

I hatched 15 this year, they were all between 52 and 68 g... and yeah, I weigh them as soon as they leave the egg.

First place they go is on the scale. :)

50-80 grams is a good average,

My lowest hatchling this year was 24 grams and the biggest was 92 grams.

Mine have all been in the 55-80g range straight out of the egg.

I appreciate all the replies. I was talking to my 8 year old son on the phone the other night and telling him that my baby BP was up to 108 grams now, and he wanted to know how much they weigh when they come out of the egg. I told him I didn't know, but I knew a place I could find out!
