    What is she?
A friend of mine wants to breed his lil female to my male. First off I do know she's too small for breeding mine makes his female look like a baby side by side. He said she's 2 years old and still not up to weight. How do you change that without possibly hurting the animal? We both can't tell what she is. These pics are kinda bad she's just about ready to into shed and darkening up.

    She is a normal.

The way to get her up to weight is by feeding her ;), she will grow eventually some take longer than others just be patient.

If she always has had such a good feeding response without experiencing long fast and does not seems to gain much weight I would suggest to have a fecal done but first I would re-sex her and make sure she is a she.

I would ask what size rat he is feeding and how often. If he feeds once every 7 days...
see if she will take two every 4 days.. OR see if she will take 3 every 5-7 days...
I know of some who feed way more than 2 rats a week.

    Hope this helps.

Well I know the size of the rats are good for her. He had her sexed by an exotic vet a few months ago.

Well I would have her re-sex by someone else too (I have seen vet mis-sexing BP too;)), and if she has been a good eater but does not seem to have gain much weight I would have a fecal done.

And if everything checks out just be patient some females just grow slower.

He told me the guy that sexed her breed ball pythons as a hobby. I dunno this is all what he told me. I have no idea... All I know is I have a male pastel and a female spider on the way and I got both of them from Adam.

Thanks alot Deb I'll let him know.
