    I have a beautiful yellow i recieved a few weeks back, im new to the forums and ill post pictures of my baby either a little bit later or tomorrow, i gotta find my digi cam.

    ok, not to sound stupid, im new to keeping snakes as pets. what does hybird mean? rarer color correct? if thats the case ive also noticd shes alot darker then all the other yellows ive seen.

    no, different colors, and patterns, that are gene effected (i.e. albino, hypo)
    are called "morphs"

    a hybrid is a cross between to species.

    for instance, what i meant was, your "yellow"

    looks like a cross between a yellow and a green anaconda.

    if this is the case, you have a hybrid.
    many people frown upon hybrids, because there are many defects and many belive there will be so many hybrids that the accually species of certain snakes will almost dissapear.

    as far as to my knowledge my yellow is fully yellow? the guy i bought her from bred them. i believe that the mother & father are both full yellow, ill call him a bit later and find out. i know shes very big for her age. she was born oct 15th, 08 and shes 22-23" long.

    this past week it snowed here in louisiana, almost like a blizzard. took the power company 4 days to get me back power. during the time i let my yellow(mystic) sleep on my stomach, well right in the middle of my chest rather. and she would curl up and id put my shirt over her, and then 2 blankets over me so she could absorb my body heat, and i fell asleep and when i woke up she was still curled up, then sometimes i put her down my sweater sleeve by my shoulder and she would curl up against me. shes awesome.
