She's not takin' the bait
So I started pairing my 06 pastel male with my 05 female the first week in Nov. First 3 days, there were locks like nobody's business, then a retreat...then back in and more locking, and for 2 weeks or so, theyve locked every time I've put them together, but the last time and this time now I have paired them, she is not taking to him. He is courting her and layin on the charm super thick and she is just not giving him the time of day...
any experience anyone?
or am I just jumping the gun and need to be more patient?
I've been keeping them together for 3 days, apart for 4 then back together...should I leave them seperate more like a week or two and then try pairing again??
Thanks!

Congrats on the locks i still have none. :rage: Give it time im sure she just needs a break
Re: She's not takin' the bait
Honestly there is no reason to breed them that often. Put them together once at the beginning of the season until they lock. Then put them back together each time she sheds until they lock. That should ensure she successfully becomes gravid. Once she becomes gravid, she will reject the male. She will also stop eating.
Hope this helps.

Aw, thats frustrating, I normally don't even start until the first of december (s. fl stays hot as hell until then) but I got that itchy feeling...so my pastel x normal is the only pairing I have done so far...and I satisfied my craving.
Good luck though! Im sure it will happen!
