The snake bopped his head on the tank wall while eating???

Hi All,
I can't seem to figure out a good search string for my question... sorry if this has already been answered...

We fed our young snake live ASF rat and, I guess he got too excited or something, he went for the rat that was cowered in the corner of the glass feeding tank and bopped his head on the wall in the process! :rolleye2: He was super fast and it was a loud smack! He finished off the rat just fine (although, he got the rat from the butt, and ate it butt-first! That was weird). Anyway, he is a spider ball python and he has a very slight head wobble (which, I read was not uncommon on spiders), but now it seems like he is always wanting to put his head in-between my fingers - seems like he wants to rest his head on the V between my fingers - instead of holding his head up to look around like he always did before. Is this something I have to take him to the vet for? Is there a way I can prevent him from bopping his head on the side of the feeding tank?

No it's not big deal, I have a girl who strikes the side of her tub everytime I walk past it and she's just fine.
