CA shows?

So i keep reading about all these midwest shows, but what about for me in Cali?

I'm sure none of em are soon, but where are they and maybe even approx times? Sites I can find information on them? I'm in central cali so headed up to Sac or down to LA is not a prob for me. I'm sure there has to be at least one show in one of those 2 cities at some point throughout the year.

Sadly there is not a LA show. There is one in Pomona (might be considered LA) and another in Anaheim. The Anaheim show was in September and the Pomona show will be in early January. There is also one in San Diego and anther in Del Mar but I've never been to those. The shows are International Reptile Breeder Association and National Reptile Breeders Expo. Not sure who does what show but these are the 2 associations I know of and I know National Breeders does the Daytona show.

the Pamona super show is the first weekend of jan, the San Deigo super show is last weekend of June and the NARBC show in Anaheim is first weekend of sept

There is a regular group of us that usually meet up at the shows here in California. If you ever want to meet any of us, we usually have something before the show or during (meals, drinks).

I'm hoping to get to the Pamona show... I'm actually goin to vegas at that time too for the CES show... At that time I will be staying at my folks place for winter break and be about an hour or so from pamona... depending on where dinner and drinks is I would love to meet other people...

I'm new to herping and doubt that I will get into breeding... I just like my ball python and would like one more (probably an albino)... But this is how it starts... i should save this post so 10 years down the line i can post it on the front door of the snake wing of my house...

I would guess that there will be another Super Show in San Diego in late June. Then, there will be a show in San Jose Aug 8 & 9. Anaheim in Sept, and Sacramento in the fall as well. This year it was right after Anaheim - I'm hoping for better timing next year so that I can go to both.

I'm afraid the IRBA shows are a thing of the past - at least there weren't any in 2008.

Yeah we plan to be at Pamona. its not too far, 40 minutes or so.
