What's the difference between G. porteri and G. rosea? I've never seen a porteri up close and personal like.

Here's a pic of my G. grossa, just for fun. I can get a better one, if you'd like when my camera is working again. She's one of my favorites.

From what I understand after talking with a few arachnologists active in the invertebrate hobby, as well as some close friends/breeders...G. rosea was reclassified into two separate species. I am still confused on this somewhat, as some people don't agree with the reclassification, some have never heard of it, and some quote it like the holy bible.

There is the common Chilean Rose (G. porteri) found throughout the pet trade, showing the common metallic browns, purples, and blacks. Then there is the much rarer Red Rose Tarantula (G. rosea) which exhibits pinks, reds, fuschias, and blacks.

I'm going to talk to some of my friends about this. I'm trying to keep all the grammys in my collection, I'd hate to think I'm missing a few.

    Here, this should work:

    She's a big'un and getting bigger.

If I ever get my camera working again, I'll show off a few red phase roseys I have. They are stunning.
