Question on Dubia

I've always thought they need a quite moist environment, because last year when I was moving, one night I left the box outside and it rained and some water got inside. The next few days I saw them grew like crazy!

But lately I keep hearing from many friends that they need to be dry.

What should I go by?

These guys should know what they are doing.....so I guess I was right after all.

I have kept my dubia at 40% humidity and 80% humidity. More humidity didn't impact them much more so I removed the humidifier. Maybe it just happened right before they molted?

I don't actually keep track of humidity. One thing I notice is that we are in a dry season now and I have many many dead and crispy bodies lying around.
