Potential dog owners -- beware
Sites like this--
Thinking I had found a ring of Michigan bulldog breeders, I find out otherwise.

Having read through the "guarantee" page, it's clear they dont really guarantee anything except that your screwed if anything is wrong with your puppy.

I'm all for responsible breeders, do your homework before you buy a puppy from a breeder.

Oh, I forgot the link to all the breeds they sell... Which is why I made this post. Don't buy puppies online!

Could have swore I saw that michigan page before - but its for new york breeders - same dogs on both. I'm glad you posted because I was looking at one of the puppies on the site!

I wouldn't full out say, don't buy puppies online. Just don't buy puppies online on a whim.
What I've been doing in my search for a future breeder to buy a pup from is to look for say the Bullmastiff Club of America... most of these clubs are affiliated with the AKC, and have breeder referral programs. Many time the club breeder lists are online, and the breeders/show people have websites to show off their dogs, etc. This is what I would recommend for others, vs just googling Wisconsin Bullmastiff Breeders, or the like.
So don't discredit all breeders with websites, just do your homework! ;)
Just my two cents.

Sorry I should have clarified. Obviously I was looking for a breeders website when I happened on these. I'm not saying don't buy from people with websites, don't buy the puppy in a manner like Ebay or Amazon, which is like this page.
The red flag was the BUY NOW button on the bottom of the puppies page.
No good ethical breeder would just put up a pay pal link to sell puppies without even getting a name from the potential buyer.

It literally covers their own behind, and also they don't guarantee any sort of health or temperament, even so simple as the animal not having any internal parasites, and refuse to give cash refunds if something were to happen to your puppy.

I was looking into bulldogs the other day. Just really the basics info on them and I stumbled across a page for bulldogs in massachusetts, which was exactly the same and had the same animals with the same names. I never really looked into the site because i'm not planning on getting one anytime soon.
Just goes to show that you should really do your research before buying online.

I was hoping that is what you meant! I found some great breeders that I've saved the contact info of, to perhaps do business with in the future, and both of them have a website.
I know what you mean though, the frequency of those no contact needed puppy sales sites has increased, which is very unfortunate!
I hope you find a great breeder in your search for the perfect pup! :D

Thanks! We would really like to get a new dog soon. :)

I bought my white German shepherd online from a small family breeder in Minnesota. Tyler is about 4 years old and is a great dog. I love him to death. Never had any problems with him. I did my research though.
