A Quick Question....

Hi, I've noticed lately that my female ball is choosing her hide on the cool side more than the warm side - the hides are identical. My temps are 89 hot side and 81 cool side - she is housed in an RBI cage with an RHP for heat.

I guess my main question would be - obviously she has the ability to go to whichever side/hide she chooses so should I just consider whatever side she is choosing is best for her needs and not worry about it.

During this time of year, depending on the size and age of the female, she may bee cool seeking as a breeding preperation. Its just something they do when they are getting ready to breed. This by no mean denotes that you have to breed her its just her body telling her she is getting ready.

The other thing is that maybe she just prefers the cool side now. They do that from time to time.

On a side note being in MI in the winter I suggest bumping those temps up just a bit. 81 on the cool side is just a little low.
