flew-watt heat tape?

    flew-watt heat tape?
    whats the deal with this stuff? can i use this instead of a heat pad on the bottom of a tank? any tips on how to use it on a 10g or 20L aquarium?

    It can be used instead of a het pad. But like a heat pad needs a Thermostat to be safe.

    which do you think is preferred? the flex watt of a heating pad. does one have benefits over the other?

    I feel like Flexwatt is much more convenient, and effective. Much more control with the flexwatt + a thermostat than if you had a heat pad.

    I prefer flexwatt. It's easy enough to wire yourself and it's definitely cheaper than buying a bunch of heat pads especially when you're heating a rack. Like was already said you always want to have a thermostat with it but you should be using one with most if not all UTHs also.
