This is my pet Python Buddy, whom I think is around 2 or a little older.
I am very new to snake owning, but I know after spending only 2 days with Buddy I am hooked and think he and I will be close. I had read up a little on snakes and their husbandry before going to look at buddy. Lets just say more then "purchasing" buddy it was a rescue. Wrong type of bedding, only heat source was a hot rock.... (shudder) and they were not cleaning his "business" out of the cage immediately.
I quickly got buddy home and used a temp heating pad till I could get to the store yesterday. I bought a UTH and proper "bedding". He hadn't eatin in 2 weeks so I fed him as quickly as I thought safe. (31 hours after being in his new habitat) So far his behavior has been amazing beyond belief. He is affectionate and curious, with constant taste/smelling with his tongue when he is out in the cage. My question is, is it normal for them to adapt so well to being moved and fed and handled after feeding, I made those few mistakes before readying about them?
Sorry for the size, its from my iPhone I will get better photos soon.
