    My cat keeps throwing up
She started last night, I saw her throw up twice last night, and about 5 times today. I am calling the vet tomorrow to set an appointment.

She is throwing up really small amounts, at first there was hair in them so I thought she had a hair ball, but now there is digested food in them - no blood or anything weird like that. Other than the throwing up she is acting completely normal and happy. She is on a medication for giardia, so I'm wondering if the medication could be causing her to vomit or if the giardia itself is making her vomit. She went to the vet a little over a week ago and everything was normal.

I cleared out my closet for her, put a towel, a cat bed, a littler box and some water in there. Should I give her food? She is eating, but she keeps throwing up so I'm not sure if I should be feeding her.

Have you talked to the vet? I know mine is available for emergency calls on the weekend. I'd quit giving her the meds (if you haven't already) in case that's the problem.

I probably wouldn't give her food if she's gonna keep throwing it up. But I'm thinking maybe chicken broth? It should at least help to hydrate her if nothing else! Good luck!

She could have a hairball that's blocking her digestive system. If so, she could need immediate attention. It's ahrd to say with kittys, because they like to hide the symptoms as much as possible. The medication might be causing her to throw up, you could look the medication up online and see if there's anything about it causing vomiting.
Check constantly to see if she's becoming dehydrated, if she is, you may need a emergency vet visit for fluids. Cats can become dehydrated fast, and it can destroy their kidneys.
Good luck, I'll think some good thoughts for kitty to get better.

Just got back from the vet.. normal everything, we even did x-rays and nothing came up. They gave her some sort of medicine and gave her some fluids. I'm not supposed to feed her until tomorrow, if she is still throwing up then they're going to do blood work

The weird thing is she really doesn't eat a lot. I'm going to be feeding her real small amounts starting tomorrow, and tonight she is just going to be offered fluids, but not for another couple hours. She hasn't thrown up in 6-7 hours I think so thats good, I'm keeping her in the closet so I can keep track of what is going out of her.

My cat binge eats. When he first comes in he eats as much as he can as fast as he can. Then he throws the whole mess up. Then he goes back and eats at a normal pace and keeps it down. My moms cat kept throwing up and loosing weight. They gave her some deworming medication and she stopped.

She is on a dewormer right now, or just finished it I should say. Stray kitten I took in had giardia so all the cats were treated
