Racks during winter

What does everyone do to keep temps correct during the winter months??

My house is kept at about 68 during the winter which makes it a challenge to keep good temps. If I used big tanks or something, I think the issue would be easy to fix with some radiant heat panels... But I (like many) use a rack system for my snakes. So what does everyone else do to keep temps up in the racks during the cold months???

I use rigid insulation along the sides and back of my racks and it really stabilizes the temps and keeps the snakes nice and warm :)

Yep, I'm adding some foam board insulation to the back and sides and for really cold Colorado nights I hang a blanket over the front. :)

I have more problems in the summer than winter.

However, I would use a smaller area heater to keep the rack area warm.

The summer I can't control my air very well, and the winter, I can't control my heat. The heat is always really nice in my room.

I use this on the exposed side of my tubs and it helps me keep my cool side temps where they should be. Doesn't look pretty but it gets the job done.

I turned a nice sized walk in closet in to my snake room. I have a controlled circulating heater in there that I can program to turn on/off. It turns off when it reaches the set temperature in the room and comes on when it's 2 degrees below the set temperature, so it's always the same constant temp within 2 degrees in the room. Also I used a small tub with water in the corner for humidity. If I need to raise the humidty I just move the tub closer to the heater. I learned this by trial and error so I have spots marked for 50%, 55%, 60% and 70% +/- 1-2%. Not bad for 40.00.

This keeps the temps and humidity in the tubs perfect.

I built pedestals for my racks out of 2x4s and OSB with insulation in the bottom. I also seal the windows in the snake room and oil filled heaters keep the room at about 84-86. :)

My snake racks are in the basement and it gets pretty cold down there!

I use an oil filled heater to keep the room at about 80-82. I'm pretty sure my GF is cold blooded so she appreciates it as much as the snakes do;)

Well I will probably run into this problem, however I assume it will be fixed by putting more electronic devices in my room, like a mini freezer, the heat tape, probably keep the lamps running too just for laughs.
