Re: Tame borneos and bloods
Awww, look at the little baby! :D Very cute! :gj:
Even though I see no reason for crossing them, who doesnt just love a blood face?
Re: Tame borneos and bloods
Wasnt something I look for, I woudnt cross them even if I was interested in breeding them. I thought it was just a borneo but then had some people have a closer look at her and her head sacles and it was confirmed that she was a cross. I bought her just becuase she was so tame. It may be that someone crossed them unknowingly since the 2 species look alot alike and I wasnt able to tell them apart easily so Im sure I am not the only one.
Re: Tame borneos and bloods
She looks very strongly of brongersmai. I understand that there is still an air of uncertainty between the head, eye and sub ocular scales and determining the species of the animal.
Re: Tame borneos and bloods
I don't think it's that unusual to have a tame blood python. I have one that is dog tame, another that can be hissy but has never struck. And I have heard of LOTS that are the same. Seems like a pretty common thing to me...
Re: Tame borneos and bloods
She's pretty :)
Before I saw her head I thought she was pure brongersmai. Her head is just off though...I have a baby with the red head and red in her eyes, but it looks totally different than yours. She could be 1/3 or 1/2 breteinsteini....She doesn't look like any 50/50 cross I've seen.
But it really doesn't matter, I'm glad you got such a sweet beautiful little girl! Tame bloods are the most amazing snakes....I've got several that are just big lap snakes.
Re: Tame borneos and bloods
Wow what a jewel! Absolutely stunning!
Re: Tame borneos and bloods
Very cool, my girl has a adult male, that has never struck and is just like a puppy likes his head scratched and everything.
