    Used Rack.. yes or no?
First off let me say sorry if this is in the wrong category. I think it's in the right one but Im not 100% sure.

I found someone offering to sell what they claim is an older reptile basics rack for 180.00 it has back heat and the 8 tubs are 15q. the person said its barely used.

Is this a good deal? I'd be traveling 3 hrs there and 3 hrs back. (unless they'd be willing to meet somewhere in between) and with gas prices.. I just dont know if this would be a good deal.

if I were to get it, it would be washed as good as possible and sprayed with PAM then put in storage until we needed it. would be good for a quarantine rack (if I bought more than 1 snake at a time from the same seller)

I dont really need it right now but if its a good deal, I might jump on it. Opinions please..

    thanks!

i looked on their site and I dont see this rack so I dont know what the original cost is.

That's not a terrible deal but with you having to drive 6 hours to get it and get back I would think twice about it. You can get the new version of that rack from RBI for about $70 more which includes shipping and you wouldn't have to worry about things being broken or what was housed in it before. I would definitely recommend RBI racks though I'm getting my second 32qt rack tonight from them :).

For 180 you could just build your own rack system :P

I have 2 racks that I made myself, a hatchling/juvie rack and an adult rack. but i liked the idea of a commercial rack.

the guy emailed me and said there's 2 other people interested and he might be traveling somewhat in my direction in two weeks hr & 1/2 away). if it doesn't sell he'll let me know.

But you bring up a good point w/
