repasy crested gecko diet

ok so i want to get a crested and im trying to estimate how much they will cost me. im on the pangea reptile website and i was just wondering what is a good size of the CGD to get if i have one crested? they have 4 oz., 8 oz, 18 oz. and 32 oz. which one would be good to get? i mean how long would the 4 oz. last?

I'm currently feeding around a teaspoon every other night to my pair of adult cresties. They don't need a ton of food. I haven't had mine long enough to know exactly how fast I'll go through food, but the 1.75 oz bottle I'm currently working through lasts long enough I don't pay attention to how much I have, because I'll always have an extra bottle around.

If you are getting a baby, get the 4oz b/c the shelf life is only like 6 months, a year if refridgerated i think....if you end up getting multiple babies, maybe consider the 8 oz, but probably still the 4. If you get an adult or a juvie, probably the 8 oz.

Also, I noticed you are in MI, so in Pangea is case you didnt know. It is by GR i think. Also, Pangea has a great forum, you can ask this question to matt via pm if you want, i am sure he could give you a better answer.

I'd probably order the half pound bag for myself with 2 adult cresties. It's only good for 6 mo. after opening, and I'm not sure if I'd go through all of that in 6 mo, but if so it'd last me long enough to order more after I realize how fast I'm going through it.

A 4 oz bag will last you a while and will definitely be enough with one crestie!

i was told on the allen repashy forums that 1 adult cresty can use 4 oz per food a month.....

i bought the 8 oz, because i wanted to have enough to last me awhile...

I have now had my cresty 2 weeks, and still using the sample bag my breeder gave me, and there is still more left probably to do the rest of the month....

my cresty is 3 months old going on 4... i feed 1 part food 2 part water...

my measurements currently is 1/8 tsp of food and 2/8 tsp of water

thats where i purchased mine and they sent it usps, in a manilla envelope, Im not sure it would be any cheaper regardless of where they mailed it.

it costed 14.90 total, that includes the shipping, shipping was 2.95

lol yea i saw that. they shop based on weights not distance, which i guess is a good thing if you live far away.
