05 Animal Cops San Francisco- Illegal to own snakes?
I am watching Animal Planet and am watching an 05 episode of Animal Cops- SF.
Apparently in that county or if SF is across two counties, it is illegal to own constrictors?? And he had 4 young tarantulas, which were also considered illegal due to being poisonous.
Has this changed? The law I mean?
Just wondering since the episode is 3 yrs old..
The snakes were ball pythons, carpet, albino berms, you name it, he had nice snakes.

Yes, in the city limits, Pythons and most exotic animals are not allowed.

I have allways loved the city and California. Sanfran is lax on other laws, it is a shame for herp lovers this law is on the book. Would this law apply to colubrids then as well?

San Francisco outlawed all constrictors, and large lizards. I believe colubrids are okay, but I wouldn't count on it without checking. They are VERY restrictive.
