    A Very Different Albino
I have seen Albino Balls that have been High Contrast and I have seen them Low Contrast but I have never seen one as Low Contrast as the one I just hatched out. When I first cut all of the eggs after the first one of the clutch had pipped I couldn’t see any color on this one. At first I thought it was a very high white Pied or something. I took some pictures of her in the egg and in the pictures I could see the very light color. This was the first year that I had hatched out anything of note from this breeding. It was a pair of Het Albinos I purchased back in 2002. The first year I got six eggs with no Albinos. The second year I got five eggs but they all went bad. This year was another six eggs and the lone Albino was produced. I have terrible odds with recessive morphs. :( Luckily I have been very fortunate with the Co-Dom morphs. :D

Well here she is my new Very Low Contrast Albino.

Once again the pictures show much more color on her than you can see with the naked eye. She looks a lot lighter in person. I am not really sure what to think of her. Part of me thinks she is really unique and cool looking (she almost looks like a Crystal), and part of me is disappointed that she isn’t High Contrast. What does everyone else think?

Ive never seen one before but i would imagine thats what a hypo/albino would look like, but like i said i have never seen any produced, however it is a great looking very unique albino. Congrats!

Personally, I don't care for the high contrast albinos. Now, if I could be guaranteed that all the offspring would be low contrast I wouldn't mind having one at all ;)

    Gorgeous snake IMO! :gj:

Woa... that is different for sure!! Have you tried emailing Ralph Davis, or a few of the larger breeders with pictures? They might have an idea as to what created this VERY cool looking albino.

Another thing I thought I would show everyone is in this picture.

Notice how two of the clutch mates have an almost Axanthic look to them. The other two Normal sibs look just like the Normal right above the Albino. I hatched out some that looked like the Axanthic looking ones in the first clutch I produced from this same pairing but they did not stay looking like that. Weird!

wow that is freakin weird especially with those other very axanthic lookers in there. I wonder if you've got a pair of double hets somehow and just didn't know it? I wonder if that really is a snow! That would be so cool :D. It's a really nice look albino though, I prefer high-contrast as well but that's just a cool looking snake ;)

Those two do look similar to an Axanthic. There must be something going on with the parents to produce that light albino and light looking babies.
