    hello i am making a new cage for my bp she is in a 55 tank so how big shoud i make the new one she is about 3 feet right now but is growing? i was thinking of making one that is 16w/56L/25h

    Most people actually don't suggest larger enclosures. First off humidity becomes an issue in larger enclosures, as well as heat. Not to mention that a 55 is large enough for your snake through her entire life.

    3'x2'x1' (lxwxh) are the dimensions of the RBI cages that I use. I would not go bigger for a ball python, even for my biggest girls :gj:

    Agreed. A 55g tank is already too big for even a large adult BP, mostly because of the height.

    These snakes like smaller enclosures, unlike boas and carpet pythons which need bigger cages. 3'x2'x1' is plenty of room and will still be easy to stabilize and keep clean. :)
