    Redoing my house... Fumes...
I'm slowly getting my house redone, painting in about 98% done. This Monday-Wednesday I have people coming over to redo (sand & stain) my floors. They have told me that the fumes will be so bad that I will need to leave for a few days and take my dog and cats with me. I asked about my reptiles and the guy who is doing my floors has lizards and a 12 ft burm. He said that I could just move them all down to my basement and put a large wet towel that covers all of there tubs. He said that the dampness will allow air to flow thru but not the toxic fumes.

Something about that just doesn't sound right to me. What do you all think? Should I just double my snakes up (BP's together, KSB's together, King in a small tub, and Corn in a small tub) for a few days and take them with me or should I believe what this floor guy has told me...

I'm confused but I do not want to come back home to see my snakes with problems or dead because of the toxic fumes.

I'd say take the snakes with you if you can.
