Is it necessary to feed BP's rats, or can you stick with multiple mice?
So, unfortuanetly I don't know the weight or exact age of my BP. He's about 1 1/2 years old and a little over 3 feet long. I feed him one full grown mouse per week for about a year or so...and then I started to feed him two per week for the last couple of months.
So far he's been feeding live and I'm not sure if I can find live rats of an appropriate size for him. I am also a little hesistant to feed him live rats, since the mice do try to chomp on him before they're completely out every now and then.
I'd be willing to try frozen except the people I live with would not appreciate the frozen rodents in the freezer or the smell of them when they're thawed...
Any comments/suggestions?

You can feed multiple mice if the animal will take them. ;)

If you can't get inbetween, there's no problem with it. It just gets difficult feeding 3-4 mice or more as an adult. :]

I really don't notice a smell from thawed rats (though I don't have much of a sense of smell, so maybe someone else can chime in on that one).
I also put my frozen rats in a freezer bag and then put that in a brown paper bag so when you open the freezer you don't notice the rats and I've had no complaints from roommates. Maybe check with them to see if that'd be ok?

BP that eat mice do just as good as BP that eat rats, so feed what works and his convenient for you.
