OMG I love this show but I just saw the episode where they are castrating lambs. I strongly recommend not watching this episode its just wrong. They use their mouths to castrate the lambs. I just thought I would share :O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke::puke:

I saw the episode tonight also.

They bite down on the lambs testicles to get a grip and pull them out with their teeth. It's kind of like when you're trying to get the plastic off a new CD or something and you bite down and pull the plastic off. I can't imagine how much pain they were in.

That is standard practice in the industry...

It has been for a LONG time.

I saw it being done in college in an Ag Class.

Yeah, but come on...just because something is done traditionally doesn't mean it should be done. I think it should fall under animal cruelty laws, myself.

The things people do never cease to amaze me. My previous boss used to have a farm and he said that they used to let the pigs in through a doorframe, and then slam the door really hard as they were almost through to castrate them (don't ask me the specifics because I just remember being utterly horrified that this was being done to any living creature). He said it was the least painful way to do it. I did ask him if he were to be castrated what his chosen method would be, but he declined to respond.

Anyway, I definitely do not care to watch this in action. :bleh:
