    Get Fit!
So my husband and I decided yesterday to walk to the library today. At 1pm we set out and got to the library a little after 2. Left the library a little after 3 and returned home a bit before four. Its a 2 mile walk to and from. So we walked 4 miles today! I feel really good afterward to. Kind of want to go for another walk. We have decided since we walked to the library just fine that we'd start walking to do local shopping. Anything within a 2 mile radius is officially for walking and we will only take the car if it is raining or we need it to carry something. It feels good to get out and walk.

It would be nice if work was closer. I just did a google map and its 5.7 miles. It wouldn't be that bad on a bicycle, but I would need to get mine fixed. So does anyone else walk a lot instead of taking the car?

I do, there is a gas station near my house and I see no point using a car to get there. Once our land is done with a house on it I'm going to run around it a few times a day( its 5 acres) to stay fit. Not only do you feel better but you get stronger and wake up more energized, I remember my Freshman year of high school when I was in wrestling we mainly just ran ( about ten miles a day, and I mean RUNNING along with other things) and I was in the best shape of my life.

Where I used to live I walked everywhere just about - all the grocery stores and other things like that were all within a mile or two and I'd ride my bike to work (it was maybe 4 miles all nice and rural roads) but where I live now that isn't possible.

I really miss it - I actually got a treadmill at my new place because its really not walking friendly kind of neighborhood. I just got really serious about getting in shape recently and it feels sooo good!
