    I fed my ball python today, and his eyes were grey, is this a no no?

    Not really a no no per say. I have fed animals in their shed cycle and the biggest problem is, not all of them eat. Some do get defensive and strike the prey, others may just slither away, and yet others will eat as if its going out of style.

    For the most part though, if I notice an animal getting ready to shed while I pull food out, I just skip them till next feeding, easier then tossing out a food item.

    Some will eat some won't, all you can do is try and see how it goes.

    Its not a problem at all. It may be a little bit stressful but some animals will eat and some will not. count yourself lucky!

    I have one male that will eat no matter what stage of shed he's in. I just watch him a little more closely and it's no problem.
